HolyWally partners with top Lisbon University to create unique digital wallet

This partnership marks a new understanding between academia and the business sector and reflects a strategy of promoting collaboration with companies like HolyWally to bridge the gap between the university environment and the reality of business needs.

Key education partnership

HolyWally is partnering with the NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS), part of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, to create a unique digital wallet.

The wallet's launch, which will enable students to make payments and manage their money, is scheduled for September.

The digital wallet from NOVA IMS aims to be a modern fintech product and will provide a personalized university experience for the students of the educational institution, who will be directly involved in its design.

This partnership marks a new understanding between academia and the business sector and reflects NOVA IMS's strategy of promoting collaboration with companies like HolyWally to bridge the gap between the university environment and the reality of business needs.

These agreements are a fundamental instrument for promoting a better alignment between job supply and demand within the framework of developing cooperation mechanisms that enable and promote joint participation in technical and academic activities.

The wallet will be designed to empower students in various ways, bringing value to both the students themselves and the university. It will promote students' digital literacy and teach them how to earn, spend, save, and invest. It will also help with the social inclusion of students with low incomes by enabling payment for studies and daily expenses.

The wallet is 100% Portuguese, manufactured through HolyWally's research and development center based in Portugal.

It also allows the university to generate additional revenue streams, such as transaction fees and upselling services for students.

Guiherme Victorino, Associate Dean for Value Creation at NOVA IMS, said that "...the academia must be close to what is happening in the business sector, and these partnerships promote a stronger connection. We need to develop cooperation mechanisms that enable and promote joint participation in technical and academic activities in the fintech field. This exchange between the academic environment and companies is a fundamental instrument for promoting a better alignment between job supply and demand."

Vel Vasic, co-founder and CEO of HolyWally, added: "We are extremely happy to work closely with NOVA IMS, a highly reputable academic institution that contributes greatly to strengthening ties with the business sector. We hope for extensive cooperation and collaboration between HolyWally and NOVA IMS, with students and professors involved at all levels. This will be a truly collaborative and exciting project."
